We’re the bloggers formerly known as “The Real Housewives of
Bucks County” (if Prince can do it, so can we!) As of April 2012 we’re East
Coast Creative: two
girls still committed to Christ, our families and all things creative. We’ve changed our name, but everything else is
the same.
We’re passionate
about DIY and Design and we like to keep things Real (sometimes really real). We feel pretty darn lucky to write this blog
together. We met in high school (when
Monica stole Jess’ boyfriend-not really… well, kinda) and have been best
friends ever since (14 years).
If you stick
around a while, you’ll hopefully pick up a few tips on how to DIY (and perhaps
some on how NOT to!) but most importantly we hope you’ll be inspired to live
authentically, dream big, and take a few risks in your home (and we’re aware
that sounds slightly cheesy).
We’re here 5 days
a week, we hope you will be too!
Meet Jess
I was born and raised in Bucks County, and have no plans to ever leave. I've been married to my handsome hunk of a man for 7 glorious years (ok, ok, 6 glorious years and one learning year. :) I'm also a stay-at-home mom to my two adorable kids, Campbell and Charlie, but spend 40 hours a month doing recreational therapy with my other favorite people; the elderly. I like to dabble in crafting and decorating, enjoy cooking (never baking! Just ask my friends.) and a few other creative pursuits. I am passionate about eating, love trying new restaurants, and almost always remember the places I've been by the food I've eaten there. I try to never forget that I have been blessed beyond measure by a God who loves me and chose to save me.
Meet Monica
I’m a New England native and Bucks County transplant 13 years ago... I let my Boston accent go, but still have some Massachusetts sass in me. Most of my energy is spent teamed up with my awesome hubs, taking care of our 4 (yes, four) kiddos. I love that occasionally my husband is still asked by strangers if he’s babysitting his little siblings, and that we always are told we’re too young to have four kids (well duh) but this crazy life is ours and we love it. I’m a full-time cyber English teacher by day and a photography-loving, blog-reading, make-a-mess-of-my-house-with-all-my-craft-junk girl by night. Passionate about community, our house is always full of people we love and we hope that never changes (I’m pretty sure as long as we keep offering free food they’ll keep on coming.) We’re thankful for the people God has put in our lives to journey with us as we try to see a little less of us and more of HIM each day.
We love Sundays! Here's where you can find us!
